We found this little hitchhiker on my partner's white hat! It is a little midge. Midges are very common in Scotland.

This one is fairly safe and we don't have mosquitoes in Scotland, it isn't warm enough for them!
Do they bite like mosquitos?
Some of them do but it isn't dangerous just itchy! :-D

A swarm of midges can drive you crazy.
Yup and we get them during summer - I use the term summer loosely haha! :-D
