A blog for all my photo adventures, mainly wildlife!
This is a Bactrian Camel, we saw it at Blackpool Zoo a few months ago. It looks like it was happy and relaxing!
...and it has eyelids to keep sand out of its eyes!
Very clever design huh! :-D
E' un animale molto bello!
It really is. Thanks :-D
I think I have seen them in our local zoo.
Yes they do get about :-D
Very good
Thanks :-D

They always look comical to me. Great photo!

Those creatures are incredibly useful to humans, especially in arid and semi-arid regions.
They really are Giorgio. Thanks :-D
Looks like a grumpy human

Look at all that fur!
They have good fur don't they! :-D
Uy que lindo . Te mando un beso.
Happy, or resigned to its fate? It will never see its native land, nor ever roam free, not ever do anything that is not dictated by a human. That seems like a very odd definition of happiness.
Well safer here than being killed by us humans. As I've always said, I have mixed feeling about zoos. :-|
I was in Blackpool, although I didn't see the zoo. It was a quick visit, I was in Ulverston
I don't know Ulverston. The zoo is worth a visit for sure :-D
Wonderful, that seems like quite a noble pose.
It does! Thanks :-D
