A blog for all my photo adventures, mainly wildlife!
This is a Birch Polymore (Fomitopsis betulina) growing on a tree. It was huge!

Very peculiar.(ꈍᴗꈍ) Poetic and cinematic greetings.💋Kisses💋
They are fairly common over here :-D
Fascinating fungi, great photos! Catching up after my blog break. So nice to be visiting again.
Good to see you back Denise. Thanks :-D
I've seen fungus shelves growing on houses and vehicles here. Not often, but occasionally.
Wow! Never seen that! Just in the forests :-D
I usually see them in the woods sometimes
Same here Mikael. Thanks :-D
Is this fungus poisonous?
It can be eaten from what I can see :-D
Are you sure that this is Birch Polypore? Doesn’t look much like it to me.
From what I can tell it is. What do you think it is?
Doesn’t look anything like Birch Polypore and I am not familiar with European Fungi, but maybe some kind of bracket fungus in the genus Trametes. I can’t be sure what it is, but I’m pretty sure what it is not!
I've seen a few images similar to mine, of BP, online from over here. Well I did have a look at them. No clue. You can help me with one I'll be posting next week!
How amazing! Seems like fungus prefer dead or dying wood. I wonder if it's growing on a healthy tree?
They do like the dead or dying wood but this one was on a healthy tree indeed. Thanks :-D
Sorprendente naturaleza.Un abrazo.
Thanks Laura :-D
