Waiting Patiently

 

Another photo from yesterday. This Heron was waiting for his dinner. There are plenty of fish in the canal so I am sure he is well fed!

She Won!

 

Took this photo today. This cow definitely won the staring contest. Just look at her eyes! Lovely animal.

I went out with my friend for a walk along the canal and we ended up doing nearly 10 miles! I was happy I lasted so long as I haven't been out walking in a long time. This is hopefully the start of my walks again.

Spotted!

 

I spotted this deer looking at me in the woods! 

Emu

 

We saw this Emu at the Zoo.

Chiana

 

This is Chiana, one of my many cats! She will be 15 in August. I've had her since she was only 6 weeks old. She was my first baby.

Male Mallard

 I liked the look of this male mallard.

Power Of The Shade

 

I took this in March when it was still chilly. The planter blocks the sun from melting the frost. I thought it was a nice photo.

Green Tree Python

 

This lovely thing is a Green Tree Python which we saw at Five Sisters Zoo. The zoo isn't too far from us and we go a lot.

A Meeting Between Two Friends

 

This is a snail and a common flower bug having a good chat, over a cup of coffee no doubt! If they can get on so well, why can't we?

Female Orange Tip Butterfly

 

This is the female Orange Tip Butterfly. I posted her husband before HERE.

Little Ladybird

 

I have always loved Ladybird since I was a kid. They are so pretty and magical I think. 

Is It An Owl?

 

I thought this Rhododendron looked like a face and in particular an Owl's Face! I think it looks happy.

Stitch Is Wondering

 

This is Stitch, one of our many cats! He is a very playful cat. I think he looks deep in thought in these photos though!

5 Spotted Burnet Moth

 

This is a 5 Spotted Burnet Moth. They are lovely looking moths and fairly common in Scotland.

A Curious Crow

 

I really like this crow standing on the wooden post. He is a looking at me with a curious look. Don't worry, I'll give you some seeds!

I liked this sign especially what the dog is saying! I cropped it so you can see what he is saying! It made me laugh. This is from a pub eatery not far from us called The Bruce. Been a few times and it's okay.

Diamond Dove

This is a Diamond Dove, we saw it at the Beech Tree Inn. I've featured the Ponies here and the link to the Beech Tree Inn.

A Lemur On Watch

 

This is a Lemur we saw at Blackpool Zoo. All the other Lemurs were alseep, so I can only assume this one was on watch!

Cat In A Basket

 

This is Jethro my Bengal Cat. He was in the little basket on the cat tree. Having 6 cats, the cat tree is well used but none of them use this basket anymore! So I decided to put one of my Hallowe'en round pillows in it. A lovely orange pumpkin! Bengal Cats are truly mental and crazy! Cats are so much fun but Bengals are extra fun with extra personality!!!

A Young One

 

I was taking a photo of this young gull and in the second photo he is looking at me. I was talking to him and, no doubt, he was looking for food!

We were at the seaside the other day and there were so many of them and it was great to see. They were looking for food and some people fed them while others were fearing them! In all my years, I have never had a bad encounter with them. Maybe they can sense a good person, I really don't know. But I have met countless people who hate them for no reason it would seem.

Another Interesting Tree

 

Something magical looking about this tree. It certainly has character.

This a sign from a restaurant in Scotland. It is called Wan Fir The Road. Wan means "one" in Scotland and fir means "for" so it really reads One For The Road in proper English! I've never visited it though, I just really liked the sign!

Not posted a photo of a crow in a while. This one is a friend from the pond. Great birds.

Is It Another Weevil?

This weevil was enjoying the sunshine. I like the shadow its head casts. The weevil might have thought it was another weevil popping its head up!

Fern Is In The Forest!

This is a lovely scene I think. Loads of ferns in the forest. It has a little path to walk along and it's great to be surround by all that green!

Famous Glasgow Scene

 

This is a very famous scene in Glasgow, a statue with a traffic cone on the guy's head! Read here about it: Equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington. I remember seeing it in the early 1990s! The building behind the statue is The Gallery Of Modern Art which I have been to several times. It's free as well! Most Museums in Scotland are free, which is good I think. Over the years the colour of the cone usually changes and sometimes the horse has one too, as can be seen in the Gallery link!

This is how my lawn looks every April. I never cut the grass until the dandelions are gone. It usually attracts lots of insects. Dandelions are great for insects and I really like them!

How Common Is Blue?

 

Fairly common I'd say! This is a Common Blue Damselfly. Took this along the canal in May. I think Damselflies are such beautiful creatures.
