Heron Up A Tree

 

I spotted this Heron sitting up on the tree when I did my canal walk! This was taken on 7th September.

Going Back In Time - 22nd February 2021

These were all taken on my older phone: HUAWEI P20 Pro.

So back in time we go! A year and half in fact! The little green fellow who is starring in a few of the photos is Trevor. He is a turtle and we adopted him from London Zoo. I named him after a famous British actor called Trevor Eve!

A Deer Family

 

I spotted these 3 deer when I wandered off the path into the woods. Such a lovely family. These were all taken on 26th April.

Treecreeper

 

This a photo of a bird called a Treecreeper! I was lucky enough to get this shot. One of the walkers I used to meet said they kinda look like a little mouse, I can see what he was on about haha! This was taken on 25th March this year.

Tree Pumpkin

 

I was out a walk at the start of the month and noticed this! Is it just me or does that look like a pumpkin on the tree? Now to be fair, I have had Hallowe'en in my mind since July haha! These were taken on 3rd September.

Missed the weekend again as was working and exhausted! Hope you are all well :-)

Vets Open Day

 

The Vets I take my cats to had their yearly Open Day a few weeks ago. I have been with that Vets since 2010! I always enjoy these event as there are plenty animals and stalls and fun games for the kids. I got to meet a few snakes and my daughter got to hold one too, she wasn't scared unlike her dad haha!!! These were all taken on 3rd September.

Aren't these sheep interesting! I saw them all in the same field on one of my recent walks. Number 3 is my favourite, that face haha! They were all staring at me and I was talking away to them! These were taken on the 5th of September.

Yes Dearie, Things Were Better In Our Day

 

I thought these 2 cows looked like they were having a good chat about how things were better in the past! The sheep in the background was eavesdropping haha!! I really love the facial expressions on each of the animals! These were taken on 7th September.

Colourful Berries

 

I spotted these interesting berries on a tree! I like the fact they are all different colours! All at difference stages of development! Not sure what they are or if they are edible, so I left them! These were taken 31st August.

I have been a bit under the weather lately. Eye healing isn't happening :-( I still have hazy vision and in a lot of pain. Prolapse has been acting up and just generally drained! I am really trying my best to get on with things. But sadly not been out walking for a while and it is driving me mad!

Going Back In Time - 3rd December 2021

These are all from 3rd December 2021. 

So yesterday was okay but the evening and today both have been a write-off. I inadvertently gave both myself and my partner food poisoning :-O At first when we were both ill, I thought it was a bug but my daughter was fine and we usually get things altogether! Then I realised it was my fault jeez! I had made soup in the slow cooker and had never used a slow cooker before....it was a vegan lentil soup. Well needless to say I won't be making soup that way again! I was reading up on the dangers of slow cookers and apparently if not used right....you could end up ill.....I am testament to that. Never have I been ill with my own cooking!!!!! I ain't the brightest am I :-| Over the worst of it now thankfully!

Who Is Hiding In The Tree

 

Who is that I see up in the tree? Oh it a lovely looking squirrel! What a beautiful creature! I took this on 24th August.

I did another 9 mile walk today while pushing my daughter's pram/buggy/stroller! There were a lot of hills involved and she did a lot of walking. We picked a few brambles and ate them. They were very tasty. Still feeling physically sore from the walking. Before the operation on my eye, I could walk a good bit further and not feel any leg pains and didn't even get sore feet! I think this op has taken it out of me physically too!

My Friend The Crow

 

This is one of my crow friends. He lives near the pond and is always there when I feed the coots and duck. He knows I will feed him too. I really like him and he ia friendly soul. These were taken on 21st August.

I had a lazy one today and ended up back at Starbucks for the Pumpkin Spiced Latte - totally addicted to them haha!

Happy Logs

 

I spotted these on a walk in July. Both are looking very happy aren't! How cute. Both photos were taken on 29th July.

4 days without a walk and I was going crazy today. So just had to get out! Managed 9 miles and wore my sunglasses the whole time. Bright lights and the sun are causing me issues at the moment, but that is to be expected from what I am told. I will say, after 4 lazy days, my legs were sore!

Another New Friend

 

This is my new friend, a Ladybird! These were both taken on 30th August.

On 8th September I underwent a serious operation on my left eye - I had developed a rather aggressive cataract over the space of a year. I was put under general anaesthetic for this operation. It went well and I am recovering but sadly not been out walking. Recovery is around a month.

Also on the 8th September The Queen passed away. May she rest in peace.

Ghostie

 

Is it a ghost? It is littering? I spotted this blanket while out my walk the other day and thought someone was getting ready for Hallowe'en! This was taken on 31st August.

I got out another long walk today, was super happy. I have discovered a new route that still includes the pond and am really loving it. As you all know, I am very loyal to that pond and the creatures that reside there!

Elephant Hawk-Moth Caterpillar

 

This is an Elephant Hawk-Moth Caterpillar. He has been living in my garden for the last few weeks! I am seriously considering charging him rent! ;-)

This caterpillar is safe to touch and hold. Many caterpillars are toxic to humans, so if in doubt don't touch them!

Peacock Butterfly

 

This is a Peacock Butterfly. I spent about half hour trying to get these photos! I chased it about for a while. They move so fast, it is hard to capture them! These were taken recently, 14th August.

Got another walk today and have started to watch what I am eating since I need to lose weight. 

All Loved Up

 

More Damselflies! This time from a few weeks ago 14th August.

They were all loved up and happily making babies. I like the fact it kinda looks like a loveheart too. I didn't disturb them and think they were happy at this fact ;-)

Didn't manage to blog yesterday, was exhausted. Managed my walk and over 4 days I have done 41 miles (65km)! We also went to Ikea later on in the evening, which was fun!

A Pretty Blue Damselfly

 

Isn't this a pretty little fellow. I love the colouring and the detail on this one! I took this on 30th June.

Managed another long walk today 10 miles again and got another 3 miles in when I was out shopping and we headed to Starbucks to get a Pumpkin Spiced Latte....Hallowe'en is coming 😊
