Red Damselfly

 

This is from last year. It's a red damselfly. I've not been out walking yet to see them. I had to change my job and now work a few hours during the day on weekdays. 

A Happy Couple

How Common Is Blue?

 

Fairly common I'd say! This is a Common Blue Damselfly. Took this along the canal in May. I think Damselflies are such beautiful creatures.

This is a few years old. It is a Red Damselfly. I am hoping to see plenty this year.

Happy Damsels

 

These Damselflies certainly were in the mood for love! I took this last summer. These red damsels are very common over here along with the blue ones. This year I didn't see an many as previous years.

Caught In A Web

 

This Damselfly wasn't very lucky. The spider had caught him and by the time I got to them, he was dead. It is sad, but part of life. The spider needs to eat.

2 Damselflies

 

These are 2 different Damselflies that decided to land on my hand! So decided to get photos of them, as you do! On a rare day when I didn't have my nails painted haha!

This a common blue Damselfly. I like the black and blue colours. I took this photo last year.

All Loved Up

 

More Damselflies! This time from a few weeks ago 14th August.

They were all loved up and happily making babies. I like the fact it kinda looks like a loveheart too. I didn't disturb them and think they were happy at this fact ;-)

Didn't manage to blog yesterday, was exhausted. Managed my walk and over 4 days I have done 41 miles (65km)! We also went to Ikea later on in the evening, which was fun!

A Pretty Blue Damselfly

 

Isn't this a pretty little fellow. I love the colouring and the detail on this one! I took this on 30th June.

Managed another long walk today 10 miles again and got another 3 miles in when I was out shopping and we headed to Starbucks to get a Pumpkin Spiced Latte....Hallowe'en is coming 😊
