About Me

My photo
I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

2 Damselflies

These are 2 different Damselflies that decided to land on my hand! So decided to get photos of them, as you do! On a rare day when I didn't have my nails painted haha!

  1. Creo que era un caballito del diablo, lo que se posó en mis cables de tender la ropa y cuando me acercaba se iba a otro cable. Antes pensaba que era una libélula. Es fácil caer en la confusión.

    1. They are both quite different. Damsels have a thin body and wings closed at rest, while dragonflies have a bigger body and wings are open at rest. They are both beautiful creatures. Thanks :-D

  4. Great photo, Ananka! Maybe, if you were to prepare your nails, that unusual insect would not land on your fingers ☺️

  7. Their heads are like those on ants---- No negatives intended. I see occasional dragonflies here, but I'm not sure that I've seen one of these.

  8. I think damselflies don't like painted nails!

  9. Your nails look better in their natural state and the damselflies obviously agreed. Be sure to heed their wisdom!
