Cleo is the black cat and Cali is the black and white cat. Both girls have settled in well. We got them on the 20th of February, so they have been here just under 3 months. They are both settling in really well and enjoying their new house. Cali likes to sit at the kitchen window and watch the world go by and Cleo loves watching the birds in the garden. Cleo has formed such a strong bond with Stitch too.
Cali had problems with Jethro but things are getting better. I have tried to show her that Jethro is not a baddie. They are getting better slowly, these things take time.
Cali is very chatty and likes to talk but Cleo hardly speaks at all. I wonder if it is a black cat thing, because Stitch hardly speaks either and he is a black cat.
...a family that gets along together is great!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is Tom :-D

DeleteThey are very sweet. I am sure everyone will be like old friends soon. Thanks for sharing about them and how very kind that you gave them a loving home.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to have them too, they are wonderful cats. thanks Denise :-D
DeleteIt sounds like Cleo and Cali are really finding their rhythm in your home—funny how their personalities are so distinct, and I love the idea that quiet might just be a black cat trait
ReplyDeleteWonderful if it is! All 6 of my cats are different! :-D
DeleteHooray, I'm glad they are both doing well. Our blackie Maxwell is a bit of a chatter, but he has a quiet mew.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad too, happy girls. Honestly they hardly talk. Good to know Maxwell is chatty, he is such a cutie :-D

ReplyDeleteSuch different characters and yet they find balance!!
They find balance and harmony! They are great :-D
DeleteMost humans have people they don’t get along with and cats are probably no different.
ReplyDeleteThat's it exactly David! :-D
DeleteSo sweet! Lovely portraits.
ReplyDeleteThanks :-D
DeleteBeautiful and sweet cats.
ReplyDeleteThanks Maria :-D
DeleteVery cute
ReplyDeleteThanks Mikael :-D
DeleteMaybe it is a black cat thing, maybe cats are just different.
ReplyDeleteAccording to one cat documentary I saw, cats hardly ever 'talk' one with another. They don't really make sounds with their mouth that often in the social sense. According to that documentary, cats have started producing more sounds in imitations of humans. They understand that 'talking' is important to us, so they make an effort to 'talk' as well. I saw some really uncanny videos online of cats mimicking human words and certain sounds almost perfectly.
Yes I've read and seen something similar. Cats are good at mimicking human baby sounds too. They are very clever. My 6 have very different personalities :-D
DeleteP.S. Your cats are very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivana, glad you think so.
DeleteYou always seem to attract cats when you are out and about :-D
