This is a Sawfly Larva. I thought it was a caterpillar at first! The 6 little legs on the front, with 3 at etiher side, is a giveaway! I posted a photo of Sawflies here: https://ananka1.blogspot.com/2024/11/different-insects-on-cow-parsley.html, they are in the last photo in that older post. The background of these 2 photos is my car! I noticed when I was going out and just had to take photos!

DeleteThat Sawfly Larva is really striking, and it's so easy to mistake them for a caterpillar at first glance until you notice those distinct sets of legs! It was a great catch to spot it on your car right as you were heading out—sometimes the best nature photos are the completely unexpected ones you find close to home.
