DeleteCatterpillars come in all shapes and sizes. This one looks rather usual, but there are some that have spines or lots of irritating hairs on their bodies!

DeleteI was unfamiliar with the term litter caterpillar, but I see that it refers to their habitat of feeding on dead leaves. Curious behaviour, it would seem, but nature fills every niche.
