As promised, here are photos from the National Space Centre in Leicester.
It was a good day and my daughter enjoyed it. A lot for the kids to do and lots of crafting too. When we visited at the start of April the Solar System section was shut which was a bit annoying as I wanted my daughter to see it. She knows all the planets, I spent 2 weeks teaching her them! We went to a show in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium and I felt a bit queasy but everyone else was fine! I'd have to say the cafe did cater well for all diets and allergies and I gave the coffee a thumbs up too!
I'll leave you with the last photo...Are we alone? What do you think?

It looks great there! I didn't know Leicester had a place like this! :D I have the city associated with David Attenborough of course... :) When it comes to that last question, as I wrote to you in a recent reply on my blog, I'm convinced we are not alone in the universe, and that life must exist somewhere out there but likely in forms that are incomprehensible to us as carbon-based earthlings. I think there might be "creatures" out there in the cosmos that we haven't even thought of in our wildest imagination.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I doubt we are alone too! :-D
DeleteI would love to visit the place! So cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie :-D

DeleteAnanka, I know the names of the British astronauts: Timothy Nigel Peake, Helen Sharman, Rosemary Coogan, John McFall, Megan Christian. But the British government has now decided to no longer train British astronauts or participate in space exploration.

DeleteThat is a cool building, lots to see. We are not alone!
ReplyDeleteWe aren't are we Terry! Thanks :-D
DeleteWe may not be alone, but given the vast distances of outer space, we may never know for sure. Anyway, we have plenty of diversity here on Mother Earth to focus our attention on.
ReplyDeleteTrue Kirk. Yes and a lot needing protecting too :-D
DeleteIt was also sensational when I got to visit NASA. We are curious about everything that seems distant from our planet.
