This is a very famous scene in Glasgow, a statue with a traffic cone on the guy's head! Read here about it: Equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington. I remember seeing it in the early 1990s! The building behind the statue is The Gallery Of Modern Art which I have been to several times. It's free as well! Most Museums in Scotland are free, which is good I think. Over the years the colour of the cone usually changes and sometimes the horse has one too, as can be seen in the Gallery link!
Is the statue made with stone or metal?
ReplyDeleteEse cono que lleva en la cabeza pone la nota de color en esa gran estatua.

Hi Ananka,
ReplyDeleteI was interested in your post about historic information of the duke of Wellington's equestrian statue. This is a monument I didn't know. I hope I will visit it as soon as I go to Glasgow.
Sorry to hear that important Glasgow's landmark may be damaged by vandals.
Have a nice weeend ☀
