A Spider And A Web

Spider in Scotland

Spider in Scotland

This spider was showing off his acrobatic skills. He was happy for me to take photos. I really like spiders, I know a lot of people don't! They fascinate me!

  1. Spiders really are nature’s best architects! I’m with you, their patterns are fascinating if you take the time to actually look. I just shared a new post that I think you’d enjoy reading too.

  13. People have an irrational fear of spiders, but, like you we find them fascinating. Often when I am at my desk a little spider walks across my papers, and we have become firm friends!

  16. Spiders are such fascinating creatures, you can remove their web and they will weave a new one in matter of minutes (the constant battle at my balcony lol)

  17. There's a big spider! I don't like spiders. I don't know what makes them tick. It's not nice to go to a bush in the forest and notice that a big spider is hanging from your hat in a web in front of your face. Or a spider is climbing up your neck in tall grass. We move around a lot in bad places on fishing trips and when picking mushrooms. Climbing spiders have become familiar on clothes.

    1. I don't mind them on me. Though spiders over here aren't dangerous. It's a strange feeling to have the webs on your face! :-D

  20. Great capture. I don't mind spiders unless they are actually poisonous. I'm only afraid of the very poisonous ones. We do have the Black Widow here and I was always afraid of it because sometimes it can bite you while you out working in the fields and you don't notice it right away...and they you can be in a lot of pain and things can get dangerous. As for the non dangerous spiders they can be fascinating and cute. Really poisonous spiders are actually rare in Europe so most of the time we are afraid for no reason.

    1. I really like spiders and we are very lucky in Scotland not to have any nasty ones here. I think if I lived in a warm country I'd be dead by now! The amount of time I spend with spiders! Thanks Ivana :-D
