Little Hoverfly

More yellow today!

Hoverfly in Scotland

This little Hoverfly was enjoying this yellow flower.

The weather has been wet and windy in Scotland and I am longing to get out, even for a short walk. I had the physio yesterday and got a bad report. I had been walking in the house with my trainers on, he said a few weeks ago that was okay to do and walk outside in the moonboot. Well my calf is mega tight so need to wear the moonboot all the time for walking now. He also said to get out of the house and walk around the block and do short walks. So I am planning to do a few walks with my daughter next week. Hopefully get some good photos. The good news is since yesterday, the calf is loosening slightly. I had been walking on the ball of my left foot and this has caused all the issues. Good we caught it early though. I see him in a few weeks. So fingers crossed for a better report!

  5. That's a pretty little one. Hey, I'm glad you can get moving some, the moonboot serves a good purpose. Be careful out there though.

If I find out good weather outside my home especially in the afternoon, I will take a short walk just like you did.

Thank you for sharing both nature and your recovery journey. Wishing you gentle healing, easier walks ahead, and many beautiful photos on your outings with your daughter.

  11. It takes time--- be patient. It was only last year that I learned about hover flies. I thought they were tiny bees.

  12. Short walks with your daughter and keeping up with the physio should help

  13. Hi, Ananka. I'm sorry to hear about the bad physio report, but it is good that you have at least caught it on time. Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what do avoid during an injury as some things are honestly counter intuitive. We need an expert to guide us through the whole recovery process. I hope you will feel better soon and that you will enjoy your outings with your daughter. Sometimes even a short walk can be such a good thing for us. All the best to you. Speedy recovery.

P.S. This is a beautiful photograph.
