Another Tree Down

Tree From Storm Eowyn in Scotland

Tree From Storm Eowyn in Scotland

Not quite down but a good bit blown off from the storm we had last month called Storm Eowyn. I think this one will survive or hope it will.

  14. I've been afraid to look in the farthest reaches of our backyard to see if our recent snow and today's winds have left any surprises.

  15. It happens, but left alone think of all the nutrients the decaying wood will return to the soil, fulfilling its role in the natural cycle of life on Earth. But, I suspect that zealous humans will come along and “tidy up.” Can’t have branches strewn around everywhere, after all. Spoils the image of all the litter we toss around.

    1. Oh tell me about it. They are forever "tidying up" in the forests over here, does my head in. You are 100% right it does spoil the image of all the litter!!!!! Honestly littering is such a big problem in Scotland, we as a nation do not respect nature it is shocking.
