This is a Least Carpet Moth! It really is a beauty, I think. People aren't as keen on moths as they are butterflies and I don't understand! Moths are awesome as well.

You're right, dear Ananka, the Least Carpet Moth is very pretty. Butterflies are more colorful and flutter conspicuously from flower to flower, while moths tend to be more discreet. Perhaps that's why they're often overlooked. But the Least Carpet Moth has a chic pattern, and if it were a dress, it would be described as "elegant."
