In mid March here in Scotland the frogs start to appear and start spawning.
The female was getting a lift from the male haha!
These were a few more I spotted in the pond. Sadly this year, when they started spawning the weather was lovely and sunny but then we had a cold spell for a few days after that and it was frosty, so a lot of the spawn didn't survive. I am hoping to see the little frogs appear shortly.
It is no secret that I am totally obsessed with crows and corvids in general. This is a rook. He was looking at me with a look of curiosity! Crows are very intelligent birds, along with primates they are probably the most intelligent creature next to humans. I find them really interesting and fascinating birds.
This is a little Robin who was feeling cold! Birds often puff up to keep warm during colder times. This one was happily sitting on the tree branch watching the world go by!
This is one from last year. I took it at the start of December when we had a little snow in Scotland. I see this mushroom on my walks a lot as I pass by it frequently. I am not sure what type it is...possibly Turkey Tail...anyone know? This one really intrigues me due to its patterns and the way it looks. I take its photo a lot!
This is me hand feeding a male Mallard duck. He was very friendly and trusting and probably very hungry. I only ever feed ducks seeds, sweetcorn or proper duck pellets.
NEVER FEED DUCKS OR GEESE OR SWANS bread...it isn't good for them and can cause a condition called Angel Wing.
This will be my blog for all photos. I enjoy photography and have really been taking a lot of photos in the last few years. I only shoot with my phone which is currently a Samsung S21 Ultra. Prior to that I had a Huawei P20 Pro.
