Moth On A Wall

Antler Moth In Scotland

From what I can tell, this is an Antler Moth (Cerapteryx graminis). The pattern on it looks like the Antler Moth certainly.

Everyone loves Butterflies, never met anyone that didn't BUT I have come across people who haven't liked Moths? Which I think is weird, I think Moths are wonderful too.

  1. I have to admit that I prefer butterflies too. But of course every living being is wonderful in its own way. :)

  5. Moths aren't quite as graceful as butterflies.

  6. They have mothballs but not butterfly balls, so one is definitely less popular than the other.

  8. I think it’s because moths are nocturnal that people like them less than butterflies, which are just diurnal moths anyway.

    2. Not "might be," Ananka. It's a fact. Butterflies are a subgroup of moths in the large order of insects called Lepidoptera.
