Baby Coots

As promised here are some photos of the baby coots! Taken between 12 June and 15 June 2022.

You can see all 3 of them in the middle photo. From what I have seen, the 2 always stay close to the parent. I make sure I have plenty pellets for them and the ducks and the crows. I always have enough to go around. They are very keen on the pellets I feed them. The parent usually picks up a few at a time and gives them to the babies. The babies will soon be able to get them on their own!

Coot babies are very cute and they have a red and yellow head. They will soon develop the white bit that the older coots have.
