Coot

 


This is a coot, I think it is the male. He is part of a pair that live at the pond I visit. They have been there for a few years now and I noticed a few days ago, they have had at least 3 babies. But I cannot get any good photos, I will keep trying! Coots have such funny feets I think. These feet help them in the water and on land, making this bird quite versatile.
