This year we visited The Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry, check the website out here: Enchanted Forest. It is basically a light show in a forest! It was amazing and I have quite a few photos from the event.

- Ananka
- I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

DeleteI cannot even begin to imagine the disruptive effect on the nocturnal life of the forest.
ReplyDeleteI am sure they have taken this into consideration. They do checks and surveys every year regarding the wildlife and such.
DeleteTell that to the bats hunting for food. Tell that to the moths hunting for food. Tell that to a hedgehog trundling through the undergrowth. Tell that to a badger emerging to hunt for the night. Tell that to birds roosting in the dark. Can you get your hands on one of these “checks and surveys regarding the wildlife and such”? I would love to see what they survey, their methodology, their protocols and results. To tell you the truth, Ananka, I am shocked that you participate in this travesty.
DeleteIf you check on the website I linked to there is a section on that with a survey report you download and read. It's in the The Event tab then click The Forest. I'd hardly call it a travesty when all the money goes to charities!
DeleteI don’t wish to beat this to death, Ananka, but the fact that the money goes to charity doesn’t justify an event that is flawed from the start. If public executions were held, and a charge made to attend, with the proceeds going to charity would that legitimize the event? This is my last comment on this, I promise, but I find it obscene and the fact that a professed nature lover would participate shocks me.
Delete...this is quite a light show!
