Common Blue

This is a common blue butterfly. I took this a few years ago. Sadly this year I didn't see any of these.

  1. The butterfly is beautiful, but where you caught it makes it even more beautiful.

Sadly I think the butterfly count was down this year.

You asked on my recent post, 'if you could sub the heavy cream'
I have replied to your question, but also let you know here.

Have a look at this recipe for 'Easy Vegan Raspberry Semifreddo' which uses coconut milk and coconut cream:-

    1. The way it has been this year over here, I think all butterflies are in danger sadly.

  11. Were the butterflies in decline this year, Ananka, or were you not present in their habitat?

    1. No definitely in decline. I was out when they should have been about! It was all over the news over here too. I am not sure if the rubbish summer had anything to do with it, as the plants suffered as well.

  15. We get small blue butterflies called Blue Azures in my area. As you said, I noticed far fewer insects of all varieties this year. Even the normal pesky houseflies seemed scarce. It's concerning.

    1. It really is concerning. Yes a decline in all insects is a very bad thing. Despite not being too keen on flies, they are must in our world.
