I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)
This species of turtles are very long-lived creatures, which is valuable to the animal world and the environment. (ꈍᴗꈍ) Poetic and cinematic greetings. 💋Kisses💋
I am assuming these were captive turtles, Ananka. As far as I know there no native species in the British Isles. Were they in a zoo? I find turtles in general fascinating and we are fortunate to have several species in Ontario. We see two species - Midland Painted Turtle and Common Snapping Turtle quite frequently and several other species less commonly.
Yes they are captive. It wasn't a zoo as such, not that I'd call a zoo. "Indoor wildlife attraction" as they call it. I have seen them on your posts, you are lucky to have them there, they are gorgeous creatures :-D
Thanks for sharing a picture of such marvelous creatures !
