This is a little spider on my knuckles. I have 4 cats and cats being cats, they try to kill the spiders in the house. I always save them! I think spiders are so very important in our world and I really don't mind having them in my house! When I was moving him to safety, I decided to take a photo! In Scotland, we don't have any deadly spiders. I doubt I'd be holding spiders if I lived in a warmer country haha!
This is a common froghopper also known as a spittlebug. It is a little bug that looks a bit like a frog and it jumps like mad! It is a little cutie I think.

It is no secret that I love crows. I think they are wonderful birds and so intelligent! I take lots and lots of photos of them! This one is so very beautiful I think. I met him in April this year!
I spotted this last August at Dover. It made me giggle so much! I think that is because I am a huge Peter Green fan!!
This is a little Shield Bug, according to my research it is a Hawthorn Shield Bug!

Hello everyone. I hope you are all well. I am doing good now.
For a few months after Christmas I really wasn't well. I had constant colds, chest infections and just really not well. In early March I decided to quit my 5 cups of coffee-a-day habit and cut coffee out completely. I did it cold turkey. The first week was rough, let me tell you! The second week things started to pick up. After 4 weeks I started drinking 1 black tea or 2 green teas. I noticed a big difference giving up coffee - sleeping better, stomach is better and generally feeling a lot better. Since I quit, I haven't been ill either! 3 months without any issues! Long may it continue! I also decided to quit caffeine completely last week. And have had a new lease of life. I am no longer a slave to caffeine! I feel free now! I also stopped drinking tap water round about the same time in March. I now drink still bottled water, plenty herbal teas that I blend myself and recently discovered the wonders of chicory - which is very much like coffee!
One of my cats, Jethro, was diagnosed with Kidney Disease in early February, I really thought he was a goner because he was very ill. He started a special Renal diet and is doing okay as I type. He has lost a lot of weight but still acting normal. This caused me a lot of stress and was very down for a long time.
I haven't really been doing a lot of walking but trying to get out more. Sadly, due to this, I have piled on the weight. I am now trying to shift it and get fitter in general. I still have lots of photos to post and also started painting my nails again so will be posting on my nail polish blogs too!
These are from nearly a year ago! We have renewed our annual pass to the zoo but still not been this year! Planning to go soon and make use of the pass. In other news, I sadly had to leave my job so I am currently looking for another one.

I took this on the 8th of December last year. This was part of a normal walk I did and this appeared! Just a little bit up beyond the gate is a waterfall and about a half mile a pond then another half mile a few more ponds. This is kinda in the middle of nowhere but there is a water plant to the right, so I guess this must be for their staff!
This beautiful creature is Colin. Full name Colin Hissy! He appeared around December time at the pond. I had a feeling that the swan was male so called him Colin. Being a young one, he is very wary and hisses a lot, that is why he got the name Colin Hissy. He hasn't been there for 2 days now so I wonder if he has moved on. He was on his own, just him along with the ducks, crows and the Heron at the pond. I really hope he comes back soon as I am starting to miss him! Just means more food for the crows and ducks!!!
I'd also like to wish Jimmy Page a happy 80th birthday for today! I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan!

I had planned a few posts over Christmas and New Year and them boom I was struck down with a terrible chest infection that seems to be doing the rounds in Scotland just now. I finished work on the morning of Christmas Eve and was fine then after a few hours sleep I was really unwell. It just hit me and floored me! Glad to say I am a lot better now! I hope everyone is well and enjoyed their Christmas and New Year :-)
